April 5, 2007 - Panasonic has released a firmware update for the Lumix DMC-L1, its first digital SLR camera. v2.0 makes improvements to the camera’s performance and operation.
According to the Panasonic website, the update includes:
- An added multiple exposure function.
- Panning mode.
- A low-angle mode, which makes it easier to see the LCD display at steep angles.
- A Hold option in Auto Review that allows continuous viewing.
- Zoomed-in review of photos.
- An added feature that simplifies setting the aperture when using a lens without an aperture ring.
- Two new manual white balance settings added to the GUI, plus removal of a time restriction on the settings.
- An auto option for ISO sensitivity in the aperture-priority mode and shutter speed-priority AE mode.
- Improved performance of auto exposure and auto white balance.
