May 17, 2006 – Photographers who use the newly release Canon EOS 30D can now use DxO Optics Pro software with it. DxO Labs announced today that it added support for the new DSLR in its version 3.55 Elite and Standard software. The 30D joins a list of 33 other digital cameras that are compatible with the DxO Optics Pro software program.

“Canon shooters were obviously very anxious for us to support the most recent digital SLR from this leading brand,” said Luc Marin, vice president of DxO Labs’ Photography Business, in today’s release. “We have been able to turn around the development of our software to support this camera in a very short period and provide support for a significant number of companion lenses from the outset.”

Those companion lenses currently include the following, but the press release stated that “more lens support will be added throughout the coming weeks and months.”

- Canon EF 50 mm f/1.4 USM
- Canon EF-S 10-22 mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
- Canon EF 16-35 mm f/2.8L USM
- Canon EF 17-40 mm f/4L USM
- Canon EF-S 17-55 mm f/2.8 IS USM
- Canon EF-S 17-85 mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
- Canon EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 USM
- Canon EF 24-70 mm f/2.8L USM
- Canon EF 70-200 mm f/2.8L IS USM
- Canon EF 70-200 mm f/2.8L USM
- Canon EF 70-200 mm f/4L USM
- Sigma 30 mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM
