October 25, 2006 –Online photo application provider Digital Railroad Inc. announced today new support for the photo management software iView MediaPro.

iView MediaPro, recently acquired by Microsoft, is a photo browser with editing functions. Under the added support, users can transfer their photos directly from their iView catalogs to Digital Railroad’s online archives to then be distributed to outside agencies. Metadata is also transferred from iView to Digital Railroad so users do not need to re-enter photo information.

Digital Railroad has a membership of 700 photographers from 55 countries. 35 agencies use Digital Railroad including VII and Redux. This year, the National Press Photographers Association, NBC Universal, and the White House News Photographers Association also joined Digital Railroad.

"At Digital Railroad, we're always focused on providing more tools to streamline our members' workflow processes," said Digital Railroad founder and CEO Evan Nisselson in today’s press release. "At Digital Railroad, we're always focused on providing more tools to streamline our members' workflow processes," he said.

Photographers can join Digital Railroad for $49.95 per month plus a $99 set-up fee or $680.40 for the year. There is also a free 30-day trial available. The Digital Railroad uploader for iView MediaPro is free and will be available on November 1. http://www.digitalrailroad.net/corpsite/iview.html .
