DigiGear Introduces 3D Picture Frame
August 16, 2006 – Photo accessory manufacturer DigiGear, Inc. announced yesterday the launch of its 3D picture frame, the EZ3D Photo Print. Hailed as its "most exciting product to date," stated yesterday’s press release, the EZ3D Photo Print can convert any two-dimensional image into a 3D photo. The three-step process takes minutes and eliminates the need for 3D glasses or special cameras, according to the release.
"EZ3D Photo Print is basically designed for those who have [a] photo printer and digital camera and want something funny and special for the photos," stated the release.
Users import an image with the Windows-based EZ3D software, powered by DIY Lenticular Lens and Software. With an outline tool, users select which portions of the image to covert to 3D. Users then click "Print" for use on any printer, according to the release. To view the image three-dimensionally, users mount the image in the included EZ3D frame behind a specialized photo lens.
The EZ3D Photo Print package includes an EZ3D Photo Frame and two 4x6 lenses; it retails for $29.99.
