June 27, 2007 – DCP Systems has announced a panorama-aiding product bundle, which includes the Panosaurus VR panoramic tripod head and Stitcher Express 2 software. The bundle, which sells for $238, is available until the end of September.
Stitcher allows for full panoramas in JPEG, TIFF, and QuickTime formats and features four different stitching modes. The latest version of Stitcher Express also utilizes smart blending and has options for publishing photos on the Internet.
The Panosaurus tripod head attaches to any tripod and allows horizontal and vertical movement for multi-shot panoramas. It rotates at the nodal point, minimizing optical distortion. It weighs just under two pounds and is reinforced with aluminum strips.
The bundle is available for £119 (about $238). Advanced editions of Stitcher can be bundled with the Panosaurus for an additional cost.
