“Features, features, features,” has been the Casio mantra in the digital camera market for a few years now, and with the new Exilim Zoom EX-Z850, they seem to have outdone themselves. The EX-Z850 offers average to high-end specs for an advanced pocket camera – 8 MP imager, 3x optical zoom, a “Super Bright” 2.5-inch LCD – for a suggested retail price of $399.99.

“Features, features, features,” has been the Casio mantra in the digital camera market for a few years now, and with the new Exilim Zoom EX-Z850, they seem to have outdone themselves. Along with having average to high-end specs for an advanced pocket camera – 8 MP imager, 3x optical zoom, a “Super Bright” 2.5-inch LCD – the EX-Z850 comes packed with features that are nearly impossible to fully delve into unless you have about two days on your hands.
One of the highlights on the E-Z850 that Casio was trumpeting at the recent PMA show in Orlando is the inclusion of a new eBay Best Shot Mode which is the 21st of a whopping 34 Best Shot Modes on the Z850. The eBay mode, which is also available on the new Casio Z60 and Z600 models, is designed to optimize images of items for easy posting on eBay. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg on this model, which along with a bundle of features such as Anti-Shake DSP for stabilizing shaky images, has a simple, rock-solid all-metal silver design to protect the whole package. The Z850, which also has some great manual controls including aperture and shutter priority modes, will be available in mid-April for a suggested retail price of $399.99.
