“the world’s smallest and thinnest” 10.1-megapixel point-and-shoot. The EX-S10 records video in iTunes-compatible H.264 format, features an Auto Shutter mode to capture smiles and shake-free images, and has Casio’s YouTube Capture Mode for easy uploading to the popular website. The EX-S10’s price and ship date have not yet been announced.

The S10's H.264 video recording makes it compatible with Apple's iTunes and iPods. Users can drag and drop uploaded files into iTunes, then transfer the videos to their iPods without having to convert the file. The move follows Casio's partnering with YouTube last July, when it launched the S880 and Z77 with YouTube Capture mode. The mode makes uploading videos to the popular video-sharing website easier. Casio also partnered with eBay last year for its eBay Best Shot mode, which automatically sizes photos for the auction website. The S10 also features a movie button for instant video recording without accessing the mode dial.

Like the EX-S880, the EX-S10 records MPEG-4 video. Movies can be recorded with audio at 848 x 480 at 30 frames per second (fps), 640 x 480 at 30 fps, or 320 x 240 at 15 fps.

At 3.7 x 2.15 x 0.59 inches, the stainless steel EX-S10 can easily be fit into a pocket. The S10 spreads 10.1-megapixels across a new 1/2.3-inch CCD. Its predecessor, the EX-S880, has a 8.1-megapixel sensor. The EX-S10 has a 3x optical zoom lens and a new 2.7-inch Super Clear LCD with 230,160 pixels, which can be viewed from multiple angles.

Up to 4 fps can be captured in the EX-S10’s High-Speed Continuous Shutter mode, and 3 fps in Flash Continuous Shutter mode.
Casio’s Auto Shutter automatically takes a photo when a subject smiles, the camera stops panning, or when their own face enters the frame during a self-portrait. The camera also includes face detection and 36 Best Shot Scene modes for different shooting situations.

The EX-S10 runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and is available in four colors: red, blue, silver, and black.
