Casio Announces EXILIM Hi-Zoom EX-H10

June 11, 2009 – Casio introduced an ultra-thin 12.1-megapixel camera with 10x optical zoom today. The EXILIM Hi-Zoom EX-H10 also features a 1000-shot-per-charge battery life and wide-angle 24mm coverage.

In addition to the long zoom range, the EX-H10 delivers a 3-inch LCD and sensor-shift image stabilization in a body measuring less than an inch thick (.95 inch) and weighing just 5.8 oz. The camera also introduces a new landscape photography mode (with its own dedicated button) that boosts the vividness of “only the most impressive colors" and a Mist Removal option to counteract the appearance of fog.

While not as dramatically high-speed as some Casio models, the EX-H10 will fire off approximately 10 frames per second at 1280x960 resolution, or 4 frames at 1600x1200. The video mode will shoot at up to 1280x720 resolution, at 24 frames per second. There are no manual aperture or shutter speed controls.

The EX-H10 will sell for $299.99 when it ships in mid-July.
