Canon Sponsors LPGA Player Natalie Gulbis

July 21, 2006 – Canon U.S.A., Inc. announced yesterday the company’s sponsorship of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour player Natalie Gulbis for the 2006 tour season.

"We welcome Natalie into the Canon family and look forward to supporting her during this golf season," said Canon senior vice president Tod Pike.

LPGA professional Natalie Gulbis finished in the top-10 ten times in the U.S. Women’s Open, according to the LPGA website. At 14, Gulbis was the youngest player to qualify for a LPGA event, the Longs Drugs Challenge in 1997. Now 26, the athlete has a driving average of 252.4 with a 74.9 percent accuracy, states the LPGT website.

Canon’s sponsorship of Gulbis is part of their ongoing support for the LPGA Tour. Along with Gulbis, Canon is sponsoring LPGA professionals Michelle McGann and Brittany Lang. For the men’s PGA Tour, Canon is sponsoring Jay and Bill Haas, Briny Baird, and Billy Andrade.

"Canon is the official copier, facsimile, MFP, printer, scanner, camera and binocular of the PGA Tour and Champions Tour," stated Canon’s press release.
