The Canon PowerShot G11 is a 10.2 megapixel point and shoot camera that includes a 5x zoom lens and a comprehensive set of manual controls on the camera body. Although it is a point-and-shoot camera, it has much in common with SLR cameras, which often feature lots of dials and buttons for quick access. It's priced at about $500, which makes it more expensive than most point-and-shoot cameras.
