Introduction
Canon’s new PowerShot 530 HS (marketed as the IXY 1 in Japan) doesn’t so much replace the 500 HS, but instead marks the beginning of a new branch in the ELPH lineup. This is a 12x travel zoom with a sleeker, more modern design than the 500 HS. It’s also a bit more expensive, carrying an MSRP of $349.99.
