Canon Offers Cash Back

April 19, 2005 – Canon announced its “Cash In With Canon” spring rebate program that offers money back for its digital SLRs, lenses, and other accessories. From April 15 to July 15, consumers can get $10-$500 back on their purchases.

“The Cash In With Canon Rebate Program makes the speed and precision of SLR photography even more affordable to consumers,” stated Yukiaki Hashimoto, senior vice president and general manager of the consumer imaging group at Canon. “We feel that this type of rebate program expands the variety of photographic possibilities for photographers while keeping their experiences affordable.”

The 8.2-megapixel Canon EOS-1D Mark II sells for about $4,000 online, so a $500 rebate will make it only slightly more affordable. Consumers can get $100 back from their purchase of the Canon EOS 20D kit, which sells for about $1,300. Canon is also offering $15-50 back for its 23 EF lenses and $10-50 back for eligible flash accessories.
