The Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi is an update of the Rebel XT with a 10.1-megapixel sensor, a dust removal system and a 2.5-inch 230,000-pixel LCD, along with a number of other improvements. At a list price of $699.99 with an 18-55mm kit lens, or $599.99 for the body only, the Rebel XTi picks up much of the image processing architecture of current pro and prosumer Canons with the same Picture Styles system. Oddly enough, Canon’s XTi is now the cheapest DSLR from the manufacturer, but its resolution beats out the Canon EOS 30D which has 8.5 megapixels and is a wedding and portrait stalwart.
