Canon EOS 1D Mk III Fix Includes Warranty Extension
If you're nervously awaiting the return of your Canon EOS 1D Mk III from the repair for the sub-mirror problem, Canon has a nice surprise for you; the first are making their way back, and it seems that Canon are including a warranty extension with the fix. Rob Galbraith reports that one of his readers got his 1D Mk III back and noticed the extension in the paperwork; the warranty runs for a year from the date that the repair was completed. Canon are also dealing with this problem pretty quickly: the photographer sent his 1D Mk III back on the 4th of December, and had it back on the 12th. Kudos to Canon on this for responding quickly, dealing with the problem and providing a warranty extension.[Via Rob Galbraith]
