Canon 1D Mark IV News Photo Gallery
The EOS-1D Mark IV goes on sale in late December for $4999.
The LCD measures 3 inches diagonally with 920,000-dot resolution.
The body is nearly identical to the EOS 1D Mark III.
The jacks and plugs include HDMI output.
Processing relies on dual Digic 4 chips, a significant step up from the Digic 3s used in the Mark III.
The new 16.1-megapixel sensor
There is a mono mic on the camera front and an external stereo mic input for video recording.
Magnesium alloy is used for the chassis.
There are 76 gaskets and seals for weather resistance.
