Las Vegas, Nevada, January 10, 2007 – Many of the new designs for digital frames were on display this week at CES. Digital frames run the gamut in their offerings with features such as video, music, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, oh my! Digital photo viewers, and frames. With increasing availability, digital picture frames are growing in frame size, becoming more affordable, offering internet connectivity, and allowing consumers to get their photos back on their mantles for display. A-Data
A-Data Digital Photo Frame Displayer DP-71 – Taiwanese memory manufacturer A-Data will launch two 7-inch wide 16:9 picture viewers next month, the DP-71 and DP-72, according to a representative. The photo frame features built-in music and can play music in MP3 format. The DP-71 supports up to 12-megapixel JPEG files for still and slideshow playback. The A-Data DP-71 is compatible with CF, SD,
MMC, MS , and MS Pro media.

A-Data Digital Photo Frame Displayer DP-72 – This 7-inch frame supports JPEG photos,but does not offer MP3 audio like its sister model. The A-Data is compatible with SD,
MMC, MS , and USB drives. Both frames have a 112,320 pixel resolution display. Pricing has not yet been announced.
Ceiva
Ceiva 7-inch Digital Photo Frame
Ceiva 8-inch Digital Photo Frame – Announced last month but showcased this week at CES, Ceiva offers Wi-Fi enabled digital picture frames. Users can automatically upload images to the frame with any analog, wireless, or broadband network in the world, according to a company press release.
The Ceiva Digital Photo Frames require additional PicturePlan fees for Internet connection but is also compatible with CF, SD, SDHC, xD, and MS cards for those users who opt to go without connection. The 7-inch Ceiva is $149.99 with three months of included PicturePlan service, and the 8-inch frame is $199.99.
Cevia plans to release PC connectivity in the later half of this year.

Kodak
Kodak, a manufacturer with an online photo-sharing site, announced this week its new product line of digital photo frames. All their frames are compatible with JPEG images, MPEG-1, MPEG-4, MOV, AVI video format, and MP3 audio. The frames accept CF, SD, MMC, xD, MS cards, and USB drives. The frames come in a variety of styles, including frosted floral glass, walnut wood, silver, and whiteboard. With the whiteboard frame, user's can customize the frame with non-permanent marker.
Kodak EasyShare EX1011 Digital Picture Frame – This Wi-Fi enabled 10-inch frame has a 800 x 480 screen for 16:9 ratio viewing. The EX1011 has 128MB of internal memory and will retail for $279.95.
Kodak EasyShare EX811 Digital Picture Frame – The 8-inch 800 x 480 display is also capable of 16:9 wide viewing. The suggested retail price is $229.95.
Kodak EasyShare SV811 Digital Picture Frame – The SV811 adds Wi-Fi connection to the 8-inch EX811 frame. The frame is $179.95.
Kodak EasyShare SV710 Digital Picture Frame – This 7-inch frame has a 480 x 234 pixel display with wide 16:9 viewing. The frame will cost $129.95.
All the Kodak digital frames will be available in early March.
Mustek
Ality PF-T150 – While other digital frames released this year have maintained standard sizes of seven or 10 inches, the Mustek Ality Digital Photo Frame offers a larger frame at 15 inches that can be mounted to a wall for display. Besides its music capabilities, the frame has a clock for scheduled playback options. The frame has 512 MB of internal memory to hold over 2000 images. The retail price of the 15-inche frame is $499.99.
Ality PF-T80R – This unique 8-inch frame comes with a touch screen LCD. Like the 15-inch frame, the 8-inch digital photo frame can display photos on a schedule with the built-in clock. When the frame is shut off, it acts as a mirror. It also has auto tilting for automatic image rotation. The 8-inch Ality frame with a 800 x 600 pixel resolution LCD will retail for $299.99.
Ality PF-T80 – The 8-inch touch screen adds a classical wood look to the PT-T80R. It is geared for home and office use. With MPEG video capabilities, users can view photos and movies on the 640 x 480 resolution LCD. The suggested retail price is $199.99.
All the Mustek Ality frames accept CF, SD,
MMC, MS , and USB connection and have built-in MP3 players. The frames will be available in February or March, according to a statement by Mustek's public relations representative.
Pandigital
Pandigital 10.4-inch Digital Frame – The Pandigital frame is the largest frame in their product line at over 10 inches. The photo frame has photo, video, and audio capabilities and supports MPEG-1, MPEG-4, AVI, as well as MP3 media. It stores 256 MB of built-in memory and accepts CF, SD, xD,
MMC, MS , MS Duo and Pro. The Pandigital frame will retail for $249.99 when it becomes available in February.

Parrot
Parrot Photo Viewer 7 – Unlike its competitors, Parrot’s photo viewers have the ability to link to Bluetooth-enabled devices. Under the slogan of “Free your photos from your cellphones,” the Parrot photo viewer can receive photos from Bluetooth-enabled devices such as T-Mobile cell phones, the Kodak EasyShare-One, and laptops. As demonstrated by company President Edward Valdez, the Parrot photo viewer can receive an image from a device within a range of 33ft.
The new 7-inch Parrot photo viewer holds over 500 JPEG images, with 128 MB of internal memory. Photos can be displayed as stills or in a slideshow. The frame allows for brightness adjustments and has auto shut-off. The Parrot photo viewer does not accept memory cards. The company plans to introduce more products over the next year and hints at partnerships with more phone providers. Available in Italian leather designs, the Parrot Photo Viewer 7 will retail for $249 when it debuts in the second half of 2007.
Smartparts
Smartparts 7-inch Digital Picture Frame - Geared towards budget consumers, this sub-$100 photo frame is a simple alternative to pricey frames and tailored for “ease of use,” said Smartsparts Product Manager John Roberts at CES. Available in black or wood designs, the Smartparts frame comes in two options, a 9-inch or a smaller 6.5-inch frame with a 7-inch LCD screen. The picture frame is compatible with SD, MS, MMC, xD memory cards, and USB flash drives and is capable of video and music playback.
With the added free OptiPix Software, users can upload images from their hard drive to the frame via a USB connection. The Smartparts 7-inch Digital Picture Frame will retail for $99.99 when it becomes available next month at retailers including
