CEIVA Unveils “World’s First” Wi-fi enabled Digital Frame
December 6, 2006 – With the plethora of digital picture frames out on the market this shopping season, CEIVA Logic, Inc. has distinguished itself as the provider for the "world’s first and only connected Digital Picture Frames," according to a CEIVA press release. CEIVA announced on Monday the first wi-fi and broadband enabled digital photo frame with an 8-inch LCD monitor for $199.99 or a 7-inch digital frame for $149.99 that includes a three months free PicturePlan service.
The CEIVA Digital Photo Frame "can automatically receive and display new photos sent from anywhere in the world," stated the release. Users can send photos directly to the digital frame online or by camera phone. In a matter of seconds, the digital frame owner receives the images, which are then automatically displayed on the frame.
The new CEIVA Digital Photo Frame has a built-in card reader, that is compatible with CF, SD, SDHC, xD, and Memory Stick cards. Users can change slideshow options with on-screen menus for brightness and timing. With the PicturePlan, users also receive daily updates on weather, sports, and news, according to the release.
The CEIVA Digital Photo Frame is available in black or wood finish with various service plans. For users who want to extend their PicturePlan service beyond the first three months free trial, they can purchase the plan for an additional $6.95 per month.
Shoppers can also purchase introductory bundles which are available at http://www.ceiva.com/cstore/ct/cstore_catalog.jsp. The CEIVA 8-inch Digital Photo Frames with one-year Picture Plan is $249.99. The smaller 7-inch digital frame with a one-year PicturePlan retails for $199.99.
For consumers who like to buy in bulk and get bonus cameras, the CEIVA 8-inch Family Pack Plus Camera comes with 3 digital frames, 3 one-year PicturePlans, and a Polaroid A515 digital camera for $599.99. The CEIVA 8-inch Twin Pack Plus Camera comes with 2 digital frames, 2 service plans, and a Canon A410 digital camera for $449.99.
