BenQ Announces 10 MP Camera

September 4, 2006 – BenQ announced a 10.1-megapixel digital camera last week to rival the recent announcements of other high resolution compact models. The BenQ C1000 replaces the C800 model and brings with it a 2.4-inch LCD and 3x optical zoom lens.

The Ben Q C1000 has a full range of automatic to manual control, complete with several scene and priority modes too. The digital camera also has a burst mode that shoots four pictures at a time.

Its movie mode records 640 x 480 pixels at a rate of 30 frames per second. Pictures and video can be stored on the 24 MB of internal memory or on an optional SD card, and then transferred via the C1000’s USB cable to computer or PictBridge printer.

The BenQ C1000 will be on store shelves this month.
