December 13, 2006 – ArcSoft, Inc. released the updated version of PhotoStudio Darkroom editing software, version 1.5. PhotoStudio Darkroom 1.5 comes with new editing features, added camera support, and retails for $99.99.
The “non-destructive” photo editing software now supports RAW formats by Sony, Kodak,
Olympus
, Sigma, Epson, and Mamiya. ArcSoft PhotoStudio Darkroom 1.5 also supports Canon, Nikon, and Panasonic RAW files, along with Adobe's DNG format.
The updated PhotoStudio Darkroom can convert RAW images into Adobe DNG files. Other new features include a new photo browser, red-eye correction, and one-click spot and patch removal for retouching portraits. PhotoStudio Darkroom 1.5 also adds a new “recipe” tool to copy and paste edits and batch process other images the same way.
