Apple Updates Aperture 1.5.1

November 3, 2006 – Apple Computer Inc. released yesterday an update to their photo management software Aperture version 1.5.1.  Version 1.5.1 corrects over 100 issues with keywords, loupe, cropping, metadata presets, and iPhoto Library import, among other performance problems.

Called the “first all-in-one post-production tool for photographers,” according to the Apple update webpage, the Mac-based software combines browsing and editing features. Aperture 1.5 was recently introduced at Photokina. Known for integration with Apple desktops applications, the software has an open library system, an improved loupe, and XMP metadata presets.

For Aperture clients, version 1.5.1 is available for download at http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/aperture151update.html. Trial versions of Aperture are not compatible with the update.
