April 18, 2007 – Electronic accessory manufacturer Aluratek, Inc. yesterday announced its latest digital picture frame. The new 10.5-inch frame can display photos and videos and play music. It retails for $199 and is currently available, according to a company representative.
The new 10.5-inch digital photo frame is the company's largest. Users can zoom in on and rotate still JPEG images or view them as slideshows. The frame has a TFT true color LCD with video resolution of 1024 x 768 that promises quality movie playback. The company's earlier 7-inch model had video resolution of 800x600. In addition to watching videos, users can use the frame as a music player or opt to have music accompany photos and videos. The frame supports AVI and MP3 formats.
“The average PC user has hundreds of digital photos, MP3’s and movies just sitting on their computer’s hard drive,” said Aluratek Vice President of Sales and Marketing John Wolikow in a company press release yesterday. “We intend to bring this digital content back into their daily life with our new Digital Photo Frame, allowing the consumer to effortlessly view their favorite digital photos, listen to their favorite music, or watch their favorite family videos or movies.”
The Aluratek 10.5-inch Digital Photo Frame is equipped with 256MB of internal memory, comes with a remote control, and is available in black or brown. The frame is compatible with CF, MS, SD, MMC, xD media and accepts USB 2.0 connection.
