Adobe Reports Record Revenue in Q4

December 15, 2006 – Along with the announcement of the Photoshop CS3 beta yesterday, software manufacturer Adobe Systems Inc. released its financial reports, declaring a record high revenue of $682.2 million in the fourth quarter.

In the period ending on December 1, 2006, Adobe made substantial gains with their record-setting revenue. Adobe reported a 34 percent increase over last year’s fourth quarter at $510.4 million.

“Fiscal 2006 was another year of solid financial performance for Adobe,” said Adobe CEO Bruce Chizen in an Adobe press release yesterday.

Adobe’s fourth quarter results are consistent with overall annual gains. Adobe achieved record revenue of $2.575 billion this fiscal year, up 31 percent from $1.966 billion year-over-year.

According to the release, Adobe reported that the company has “successfully integrated Macromedia,” makers of the popular Flash application. The acquisition began at the start of the fiscal year in December 2005.

Adobe predicts that next fiscal year will surpass 2006 by 15 percent, yielding $640 to $670 million in the first quarter of 2007.
