Adobe Releases Photoshop CS3 Beta

December 14, 2006 – Just when we think we’ve learned all there is to know about Photoshop, Adobe releases yet another advanced version of the photo editing program. Adobe Systems Inc. launched today a beta version of CS3, available online at http://labs.adobe.com, starting Dec. 15. The final commercial version of Photoshop CS3 is scheduled for the spring of 2007.

“Adobe is delivering a widely available Photoshop CS3 beta to enable customers to more easily transition to the latest hardware platforms, particularly Apple’s new Intel-based systems,” stated an Adobe press release today.

The latest version of the Mac and Windows-enabled Photoshop comes with a beta version of the Adobe Bridge . CS3 beta also includes a sneak preview of the new feature, Adobe Device Central designed for creating “mobile content” on smaller monitor screens, according to the release.

“We still have some surprises in store,” stated the release, “but this beta gives customers an early change to see the power of another great Photoshop release.”

For new users, Adobe Photoshop CS3 beta is available for a two-day trial period. Existing users will have access to the new beta until the final version is launched next year, at which time pricing will be announced.
