Adobe Bundles Digital School Collection for Educators

October 10, 2006 – Last week, Adobe Systems Inc. announced the Adobe Digital School Collection, a bundled package for K-12 educators at a price of $149. The Adobe package of Photoshop Elements 5.0, Premiere Elements 3.0, Acrobat 8 Professional, and the newest version of Contribute 4 will be available in November.

"The Adobe Digital School Collection is a way for teachers to build digital communication skills in their coursework, allowing them to prepare students with skills that are considered essential in the 21st century," said Adobe director of K-12 education Megan Stewart in an Oct. 5th press release.

The collection includes the latest version of Contribute 4 announced at the same time as the Adobe Digital School Collection. The updated Contribute program now includes blog capabilities, updated Microsoft Office integration, and Flash video support.

Geared for educators, the Adobe bundle includes a teacher resource CD to ease the transition into “digital communication.” The resource disk includes tips to use the photo and video editing programs and website production software and even includes sample lesson plans.
