ATP Introduces 4GB SDHC Card


October 24, 2006 – ATP Electronics Inc. announced yesterday its new Class 6 ProMax SD High Capacity with a storage capacity of 4GB. The ATP ProMax card retails at $149.99, according to an ATP representative, and is currently available worldwide.

In accordance with the SD Association (SDA) v2.00 standards, the new class 6 ATP ProMax SDHC card has the highest class of write speeds. The Class 6 rating indicates the ATP ProMax card can write data at 6 MB per second, according to an ATP press release yesterday.

Geared for photo and video use, the SDHC card weighs less than 2 grams (0.07 ounces) and is “about the size of a postage stamp,” states the ATP website.

The ATP 4GB SDHC card is weatherproof and promises protection from dust and extreme temperatures, according to the website. The new card comes with a 5 year limited warranty.
