Hello everyone, I am about to head to the Caribbean in May on vacation and plan on doing some snorkeling and light SCUBA diving and was wondering what would be the best option for the job of taking nice pictures. I was looking at the Canon 870 IS which has a nice underwater housing at a great price but then I read a review here that didn't make it seem like a good choice.

I would like the camera to perform well out of water also as I will be doing nature trails and other activities. I liked that the 870 IS has a CCD image processor for better night shots but again that review didn't really shine a bright light on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
