Times New Roman2Dark Slate Blue
Hi hope you all had a good Xmas, my daughter has just had a baby, and I feel a David Bailey moment coming on, so I thought I would buy a camera, so i picked a few makes. read loads of reviews and now im completely confused,
What level of photographer are you? A complete beginner,
How "deep" into settings do you want to be? I don't know much yet and will probably be mostly automatic, but I want a camera that I can grow into, that will also take me to next level of photography perhaps??)
What is your primary subject. (baby and family pics ..)
What is your secondary use or subject. landscapes, holiday scenery, progressing to national geo type photos lol
Will you be shooting mostly in low light? some will be inside with artificial light, and some outside in natural light
What is your budget? £150 =$300
What cameras are you considering now and what attracted you to them?
he Nikon coolpix N10 5MP & N11 6MP, N14.. very cheap price and simplicity
The Canon POWERSHOT A550, A560, A570IS,A720 ( all 7MP). The professional look, plus multitude of features, and good price,
And finally the Olympus FE210 7MP, FE230 7MP the look and price
Rank what features are most important to you?
Image quality =very important ,
low light =important,
fast shutter speed = important,
wide angle= not so ,
zoom = v important,
low noise = not sure if this matters on final photo,
flash system = v important ,
image stabilization = very important ,
movie modes = no,
ease of use = v important..
Red Eye reduction = v important.
Face recognition = v important
Durabilty = v important
What type of camera would you prefer and why? = Point and Shoot,ish. i like the idea, of the camera being that simple, but with also a few manual bells and whistles for me to learn with
Do you have size preference? = does not matter)
Do you have lenses or accessories that are brand specific that you want to use? No
Other comments:
I was really drawn to the canon A570IS which ive seen for £118 - £120, then read the complete review on this site, and it kind of says it's not so durable, will break easily.and is noisy, has slow shutter speed, i just dont know anymore
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
