Hi - does anyone know for sure whether the Kodak V1233 comes with STEREO sound capturing with its movies.
It doesn't even say on the manufacturers website, or in the manual which you can download from Kodak. Nor does it say on any websites. If I type in 'V1233 stereo sound' in google, you get a few hits saying it does record in stereo, but then the article will also say things like 'captures in HD 1024x768' (which it doesn't, it captures in 1280x720). So therefore they are unreliable sources.

I used to have a Kodak DX6000 series camera and it had stereo capturing capability with it's movies so I presume it'd be in this camera too but i'm not sure. Does anyone here know? I'm buying this camera literally for the fact that it can capture in HD, not for it's picture taking capabilities. It's a bit of a hidden gem really. But it's absolutely crucial that it comes with stereo recording on its movies, not monoaural or whatever.

Doesnt matter guys, I just noticed, purely by accident, that looking closely at the 2 versions of the camera, the V1233, and V1253 - they are both identical cameras with one major difference.....the V1253 is the one that comes with stereo mic's!!! The only reason I know that is because it says on the camera itself.
How ridiculous is it, that the V1253 is virtually no different to the V1233, apart from 1 crucial hardware difference, which isn't even mentioned on the manufacturer website. Guess i'm getting the V1253 then.
