looking for the best point and shoot digital camera. price no problem.i generally will use it for vacations and other basic camera functions.i plan on printing my own pictures. Is this a good idea??

Fuji F31fd - and get a reputable online lab to do your printing for you. They'll have $60k of printer, you'll have something that's a fraction of that. Instead of spending your money on a printer, get a decent monitor and a ColorVision Spyder monitor calibrator so that your print and what's on your monitor will look similar.

Sadly, though the F31fd is discontinued and currently only available on international eBay and private sellers on Amazon. Given its rarity, $450 is about right for a brand new boxed one.
