Angry Canon ixus 950IS

Does anyhbody know how to get any control over depth of field using this camera? As the camera is not fully manual I was wondering if there was a way of tinkering with certain setting to achieve this as I really would like to take some flower shots with the background blurred.

Thanks

No direct control over aperture (which controls depth of field) as you said, but the portrait scene mode and the macro mode should provide the effect you want.
