Question Sony H7

I bought a H7 because it has a sports mode. I tried to take pics of my daughter playing volleyball and they are blurry. I had it on its preset sports mode. I saw samples with this camera of perfect volleyball pics. Can someone please help me adjust my settings so that I can take some photos I only have 3 games left this season.
Thanks
Chandy

Default Re: Sony H7

is it the whole picture that's blurry, or just the people as they move?

An example of one or two photos, either posted here (you'll have to scale 'em down a little) or on flickr with the EXIF data intact would be helpful to see what sort of shutter speeds, etc. your camera is taking these shots at. A description of how the camera was set up for the shot(s) would also be helpful.

A little more information about the circumstances might also be helpful, too. I'm assuming this is all taken inside, but how far are you from your daughter, and what's the lighting like, etc?

Chances are that the shutter speed the camera's using to take the exposure is still too slow to stop motion. There probably isn't enough light to fully expose in a short time so that moving subjects aren't sjust one big smear.

I'm also betting that you're taking these shots from beyond the range of your camera's flash, so that won't be of any help to you.

Anyway, is there any chance you could post a couple of examples?
