It's a girl!
Our little baby daughter, Kamali‘o, was born at 7:52am on the 20th of September. She was 7lb 14oz at birth, and 21 inches long. Both Mum and baby are doing fine, and we're all just settling into our new lives together.
She's the cutest little thing ever, and although she's a lot of work right now, I wouldn't give her up for anything.
Pictures will follow. Pity the XT hasn't arrived yet.

Re: It's a girl!
Whooo hoo Smeghead,
your in for one hell of a ride & I know you wouldn't miss it for the world. If we don't see you around here so often, don't worry, "baby time" makes you wonder how you ever ran out of time before...
Of course there will be those moments, minutes, hours when you are rocking her to sleep at around 3am & if you can do that with one arm, we will all be here.
Congratulations & come good with those pics before "baby time" overtakes completely.

Re: It's a girl!
A few more pics, from the time we got her home to a couple of days ago...
http://picasaweb.google.com/crairae...kUuQ7aOe1ObOtoU
I'm quite liking Picasa as a means to share photos with friends and family - it took me about 15 minutes to run through 200-odd photos, pick the ones I wanted for the above album and then tweak 'em all (crop, play with colour balances, etc.). Uploading then took a few minutes more. I could definitely get better results with Photoshop, but it would take way longer than that.
Anyway, I'll see if I can't come up with a writeup some time this weekend.
I supposed I owe a few paragraphs on the Panny TZ1, too, which was used to take all of these shots. I'm loving the zoom - there are some shots in there that would just not have been possible withmy old S230. The image stabiliser also seems to work well - the vast majority of these shots were taken up close with no flash.
The increased resolution is a real boon, too. For several of the shots in the above album, I found that some shots that were originally taken horizontally worked really well when cropped vertically. 5MP seems like it's a good minimum resolution to throw away the edges and still have a decent number of pixels left, in this case not far short of the resolution of my S230 in the first place.

Re: It's a girl!
Lovely pics! I might have to get myself a TZ1...or convince my girlfriend she wants to have my baby.... I can't decide which... :-)
