Before purchasing any Fuji digital camera, make sure that you read as many reviews as possible. Although Fuji knew about 'zoom error' problem on F10, they brought out F11 and other ranges with the same problem. Basically if you obstruct the zoom lens even by mistake with say fingers in front, it would lock the zoom lens resulting in 'zoom error'. Fuji repair centre regards this as 'impact damage' and WILL NOT REPAIR the camera even if it is under warranty. Almost no other camera suffers from this design problem. You have been warned.

I called Fuji Technical Support UK this morning and they said that all zoom cameras had the potential for zoom error. Doug, the technician I spoke to, said he didn't feel the F10/11 or any of Fuji's digicams suffered particularly from this problem by design, and certainly felt that Fuji's cameras shouldn't be singled out for this reason.
